Planning a Ground raid
Best Weather for Groudon in Pokémon GO
Regular Groudon is Ground type: look for Sunny / Clear weather. It also boosts Fire and Grass types in the official chart.
Is a dry forecast enough?
No. Do not assume that the game shows Sunny / Clear just because it is not raining. Open the Groudon search, read the estimated category and check Pokémon GO’s weather icon.
Compare locations for a later raid
- Choose 24h to compare estimated windows across the available cities.
- To look further ahead for one location, choose 7 days and select the city before searching.
- Treat the windows as indicative; confirm the weather and raid in-game before spending a pass.
Primal Groudon and the catch encounter
Official support says a defeated Primal Raid Boss returns to its regular form before the encounter. Distinguish the raid boss’s form from the Pokémon you will encounter.
