Hotspots

Best cities to test for Pokémon GO weather boosts

PogoWeather uses a short curated list of major cities and known hotspots. The goal is not to scan the entire world, because that would slow the site down and create too many weather requests. A focused list is faster, more stable, and easier to understand.

Default hotspots

The default list includes places such as Tokyo - Shibuya, New York - Central Park, San Francisco - Pier 39, Honolulu - Ala Moana, Sydney - Circular Quay, Zaragoza, Dubai Marina, Taipei Main Station, Singapore, Seoul, Bangkok, São Paulo, and Mexico City.

Why these cities?

These locations are large urban areas, often discussed by Pokémon GO players, and spread across different continents and climates. This helps compare different weather conditions quickly.

Add your own cities

You can add custom cities locally. This is useful for testing your own raid area, a local community hotspot, or a specific city you care about. Custom cities stay in your browser and are not stored in a PogoWeather account.

Fast mode or precise mode?

Fast mode checks only the city center and is best for normal use. Precise mode checks several points around each city, which can improve confidence but takes longer.
