Windy weather: why Rayquaza matters

Windy weather is one of the most searched Pokémon GO weather conditions because it boosts Dragon, Flying, and Psychic types. That makes it relevant for popular Pokémon such as Rayquaza, Dragonite, Salamence, Latios, Latias, and several raid attackers.

Rayquaza is the clearest example. Because it is both Dragon and Flying, windy weather matches both of its types. When Rayquaza is available in raids, players often look for cities where windy weather is likely active.

Why wind is hard to estimate

Wind is harder than rain or snow because providers may report average wind, gusts, and local conditions differently. A city can have strong gusts but a low average wind speed, and Pokémon GO may still show partly cloudy instead of windy.
